Leisure Diving
An Immersion in a Fascinating World, what is Leisure Diving?
Leisure diving is an underwater activity practiced for pleasure and exploration, without any professional or scientific objective. It allows you to observe marine fauna and flora while enjoying the calm and beauty of the seabed. Accessible to everyone, it can be done with scuba gear (self-contained underwater breathing apparatus) or through free diving.
The Different Levels of Diving
- Introductory Dive: A first experience supervised by a professional, usually at shallow depths (3 to 6 meters).
- Guided Dive: Suitable for beginners who have completed a short training session, conducted under the supervision of an instructor.
- Autonomous Dive: For certified divers (Open Water, Level 1 or above), allowing you to dive with a buddy without an instructor.
- Technical Dive: For experienced divers who want to go further (depth, wrecks, caves, gas mixes).
Essential Equipment
- Regulator: Allows you to breathe the air contained in the tank.
- Buoyancy Control Device (BCD): Controls buoyancy.
- Air Tank: Contains compressed air for breathing.
- Mask and Snorkel: Enhance visibility and allow for surface breathing.
- Wetsuit or Drysuit: Protects against the cold and potential contact with marine life or corals.
- Fins: Facilitate underwater movement.
